Çavuşoğlu: "Turkish Maarif Foundation plans to open a university in Pakistan"


Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu, travelling to Pakistan for various meetings, visited also Pak-Turk Maarif Schools.

"Today, Turkish Maarif Foundation is growing rapidly with 331 schools, 1 university, 12 education centers and more than 40,000 students in 42 countries," Çavuşoğlu said during his visit to Pak-Turk Chak Shahzad Boys' High School, pointing out that Turkish Maarif Foundation has quickly become a worldwide brand and has successfully continued its activities all over the World.

Saying that he was also happy to see the achievements of TMF in Pakistan, Çavuşoğlu said about the activities of the Foundation in the country, "The Pakistani Government, by handing over schools to Turkish Maarif Foundation, has handed over the job to experts. Turkish Maarif Foundation continues its activities in 10 provinces along with your support."

Çavuşoğlu announced TMF's goal of opening a university in the country as follows, "I have good news for you. Maybe your managers shared it, today we met with my brother, Minister of National Education Şevket Mahmud. The Foundation plans to open a university in Pakistan and we support this with all our strength."

Turkish Ambassador to Islamabad Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul, TMF Country Representative Harun Küçükaladağlı, "Diriliş Ertuğrul" actors Ayberk Pekcan and Nurettin Sönmez, as well as many teachers and students attended the event.
