Maarif School’s Students Attend Turkish Day Children’s Festival in the United States

The Turkish Day Parade, which takes place annually in the United States, produced plenty of colorful images this year. The children’s festival, which was part of the 39th Turkish Day Parade that took place in New York with the support of the Directorate of Communications, brought together children and their parents from nearby states, starting with students of the Maarif School, the Atatürk School and the Atatürk’s Legacy - Republic School.

Participating children received gifts at the Turkish House, including issues of the Science and Children magazine, a TUBITAK publication, and books. The children were also served food and refreshments as part of the event and listened to teachers reading Turkish-language stories.

The parade was attended by a large number of invited guests as well as Hasan Murat Mercan, Türkiye’s ambassador to Washington, Feridun Sinirlioğlu, the country’s permanent representative to the United Nations, and Reyhan Özgür, the Turkish consul general in New York.
