STEM Challenge: “Egg Drop Science Experiment”, Feb. 9, 2018

Our fourth graders have been studying force and motion.  Our students took part in this super fun STEM activity, the “Egg Drop Science Experiment”, to study force and motion.   Our scientist’s built contraptions to protect their raw eggs.  Then they tested their contraptions by dropping them one by one from the second-floor window of Maarif School.  The students had a blast watching each egg container fall and inspecting whether it had protected the egg. They hypothesized as to why certain containers worked and others didn’t.   This is definitely one of the students’ favorite science activities of the year, and we can’t wait to do it again soon!
