Maarif School Turkish Ebru Art Class

The Turkish art of marbling (Ebru), which is brought to life with paper, water, soil, paint, tragacanth and a rose branch by master artists, was taught to Maarif School NJ students during Ebru Art Class.  Ferah Deyer, who is trained by award winning artist and instructor Rabia K. Gundogdu, instructed the students and helped lead them into another dimension of Islamic Art.  The students picked up the brushes and released paint into the marbling trays and became amazing marbling artists.  They had fun painting different flowers and nature designs and applying different techniques as they experienced traditional Turkish art.
